Douglas Hunt on Apr 27, 2014Your clematis has really had no time to get established so I would not worry one bit about digging it up and putting in a smaller pot to move, if moving it in the large pot it is in is not feasible.Helpful Reply

Felicity Woodruffe on Apr 27, 2014i chopped mine down to about three inches high and lifted it then replanted and it grew to be happy healthy and full size very quickly, my rabbit almost ate all of it so i had no choice but it grew back fine very healthyHelpful Reply

Dee on Apr 29, 2014I just dug mine up when i moved. Dug around more then i needed to and deep put it in a bag and came to the new house and put it in the ground. It was bigger and better last year from spring to fall.Good luck happy planting.Helpful Reply
