Take a photo of your mobile home to the local nursery and show them where you want to plant and let them give you some ideas. They only stock plants that grow in your region. Some other ideas - - buy a landscape magazine or download photos on the internet of landscapes you love and make an "idea book" of potential landscape designs to copy from. You can also walk around your neighborhood and photograph landscapes you admire and use those as a basis for yours. Go slow.... you don't want to overplant the first year and certainly don't want to plant too close together. Or else you will be cutting everything way back in 2 to 3 years!
Use some landscaping rocks or trim and them put mulch in it.. Then you can get some decor that is not flowers.. Like a bird bath or cement angels
Margie, get in touch with your local Master Gardeners group. They will provide free advice. Personally I would say look for some nice colourful perennial grasses and some jostas. There are plenty of varieties that can grow in most conditions! Good luck. Margie Campbell.
