Congratulations on your fost-adopt journey! I'm a proud mom of one bio daughter and one adopted son; our lives and hearts are full. As for organizing toys, I've discovered that less is more. Not less toys, but less places to put them! What I mean is, you don't have to get one box per color of Legos, for example. Kids don't care; they just toss the entire set into one box. Anyway, for larger things like stuffed animals you can get a large toy box. Smaller items like Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars, Beanie Babies etc can go into hanging shoe organizers. Some sort of bookshelf will be mandatory, not only for books but to put those boxes of Legos or blocks. Good luck!
Shelves with baskets. They can then be used for books and decorations.
Hi Kenda. That is awesome of you! I used to keep a few decorative baskets in my living room. Then every night I could pick the toys up and put them in the baskets. I also used one of those cube storage shelves. It worked perfect for books and bigger toys.
Can use shelving, boxes, baskets, under bed storage, etc. You can go to Goodwill, yard sales, ministries, antique stores...lots of places to find less expensive items but you can also cover some of these items, boxes if cardboard, with peel & stick paper and it will work nicely. Congratulations for making this decision. You will be blessed in many ways!
