Can orchids survive on outdoor deck in the summer heat?

you can put them outside but not in full sun they will burn

They may be able to take a little of the heat, they are from rain forests, they will like the humidity. They will not like the sun. They can take the diffused sunlight from a window, but not the direct sun. Perhaps a shady area would work. They will need misting to keep the roots from drying out.

their natural habitat is near the lower part of the rainforest, where only dappled, diffused light reaches. That being said, I have one in a sunny window that thrives but I don't think outdoors in the direct sun and heat would work.
