When applying new roof shingles is it better to use nails or staples?
I have to decide which of three roofing contractors to use. This is all new to me and I am trying to figure out the differences in the three proposals.

In CA a new roof requires a permit and at least 3 inspections. It can get windy here during certain times of the year and 90 mph + have been recorded in my area. I purchased a "30 year" product, and so far, so good.HelpfulReply
