First things first- check for slow leaks under the drains and potential wood rot. If you have a garbage disposal, check it for lodges/sluggish sediments or debris and clean & sanitize it.

Is there a possibility the water being trucked in is sulphur water? That would require a filtering system or time for the sulphur to evaporate. If not, pour (20 MuleTeam) Borax found it the laundry brighten/whiteners section of your store and vinegar down the drains followed by hot water. If there is bacteria causing the odor, this should rid of it. In addition for a ‘crisper’ fragrance, leave lemon juice or a capful of pinesol or a bit of natural fragrance of choice in the drain.

You should dismantle the pipes leading to the drain (put a bucket under it to catch retained water. There will most likely be sludge or even a fungus in the pipes. A bottle brush makes a good tool to clean out the pipes. Also, clean your drain pipe that will remain attached to the sink. If the problem is more extensive or odor persists or if your pipes are metal instead of plastic, you may need a plumber. In future, be aware of what you are pouring down the sink and dispose of paint, grease and other liquids likely to stick to your pipes by another method.

Put a cup of baking soda in your drain and then pour in enough vinegar so that it reaches the trap. It will fizz but leave it for a while and then rinse with hot water. Repeat if necessary. It sounds like you have an accumulation of soap suds, etc.

Hi Cindy, it's simple. Bi Card of Soda. Place @ good heaped teaspoon of soda down the drain. Pour boiling water down the drain. The Bicard of Soda bubles up and loosens any gung, thus clearing the drain. You could allso have @ blockage as well. Try @ plunger, if that bosen't work then you need to call in @ Plummer. Not sure if there may be something in your pipes. If it's stronger fairly soon after water is delivered, you may want to have the delivery person run tests. I have used the baking soda and vinegar treatment often and it's helped. Also, lemon peels (in your garbage disposal) helps!

I'd look into water filtration system or have them check your pipes.

I would use bleach and then the hot water and then lemon. Maybe vinegar
