I saw a trick the car guys use to remove old tint from car windows, they spray it with 409 cleaner and fit a piece of black plastic over it using squeegee in the sun. Let it sit for awhile and then peel off.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5IvF38dyD8 if you get bits stuck, I would get one of those razor blade scrapers at the Dollar Tree.... https://www.dollartree.com/Tool-Bench-Hardware-Metal-Safety-Scrapers-with-5-Blades/p342495/index.pro to use on the stuck bits - I've scraped paint off windows with these

Hi Mary, that sounds like a mess! Well, my first thought was the blow dryer, but that didn’t do it for you.
Have you tried sudsy water? If you put a little degreasing dish soap in a bucket of water and get it nice and sudsy, then use a sponge and apply it to the sticky tint-let it sit.
Come at it first with a scrubber sponge and see what comes off. If you need to do it again, ok, time to get yourself a window scraper. Meant to take paint, etc off of windows. If THAT doesn’t work, hmmm 🤔.
Try spraying some WD40 on the residue, let sit for a while and then scrape off with the glass scraper or a razor blade. Be careful not to scratch the glass. Put some paper towels down on the sill before spraying.
try WD - 40
Thank you!
