You can use a fabric spray paint applying a few coats allowing to dry inbetween
You can’t paint fabric, however there are many different fabric dies, look online for the colour you want, you’ll have more options than going to a fabric store.
what about a good old RIT dye
I say try it...wha5 have you got to lose? I would use a slightly watered down latex paint in the colour of your choice, spritz water onto the shades as you paint them to allow the paint to get into the fibres
Have you thought about using a spray adhesive and fabric Instead of paint?
Holly is right. Wet them first, spritz with water. THEN after they are dry, shellac, sand and shellac.
I would think fabric paint that you could buy in any craft store. Good luck.
You CAN paint fabric. Most fabric or craft stores sell fabric paint in many colors. If it is water based, I would add a little water to it because pleats may be tough to paint with thicker paint. Go pleat by pleat with either a small sponge brush or a paint brush with stiff bristles. You can always do a second coat if needed. Let dry between coats if you add additional coats.
Hi Grace! I'm a huge fan of spray paint because it it is so quick and easy and leaves a nice smooth surface if the instructions ae followed. You can find many beautiful colors in the Rustoleum brand o paint. To or three coats of spray paint will do the trick. Here's info.
