How to make front entrance wheelchair accessible?

How can threshold (metal) modified so wheelchair can easily be pushed over it?
Space is limited- from threshold.need to make a sharp 45 degree turn to open storm door and get on to ramp

Would it help to make a portable shim (wood or layers of heavy cardboard) and a “runner” of thin indoor/outdoor carpeting or thin rubber matting, to lay over entrance? These could be kept in an umbrella holder near the door.
Our favorite tiny restaurant uses this quite well for wheelchair clients.
