white vinegar and water 50/50 a dab of blue dawn dish soap and a dab of jet dry with a micro-fiber cloth
Mix up a cup of vinegar with about 6 cups of water and just a mini drop of dishsoap. Wet the windows down with a wet sponge and then dry off with newspapers wadded up into a ball. Works great. And it seems that the windows stay clean longer.
Damp scrunched up newspaper.......
I use a mix of alcohol and water, 50/50 works great
1/4 cup white vinegar ( apple cider vinegar will work as well)
1/4 cup isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol
1 Tbsp non-GMO cornstarch (the cornstarch reduces streaking)
2 cups water
Combine everything in a spray bottle, shake it up and spray away.
Outside I use, Windex in the hose attachment bottle with a long-handled squeegee. Inside I also prefer a squeegee, put a towel on the window sill, then spray your cleaner, then use the squeegee to get a clean window. Inside you can use a shower squeegee from the Dollar Tree, or buy a short-handled one from the hardware store. You can simple buy the squeegee, and then a short and long handle to screw into it.
I use auto spray glass cleaner & squeegee after. If out of that, Teflon kitchen scrubber & plain ole toothpaste. Rinse well & dry with paper towel or packing paper. I prefer packing paper over newspaper because ink will rub off newspaper.
Wipe first with a rag wrung out with a cleaner mixed with water in a bucket. This gets off the worst gunk. Then paper towels and Windex or similar.
