depending how your walls are, your other choice would of been a pocket door. But if the framing already done and their sheet rocking it’s a little late now to put one in without removing a part of your wall and rebuilding it to fit a pocket door hardware! From what your describing though, really sounds like a pocket door would be just the ticket for your problem! Good luck
Hi Patricia. I have used a curtain instead of a door, and it look just fine. I made it match with my window curtains. Another thought is there room to put in a pocket door that slides into the wall? I wish you luck!
Yes - love the look in the pictures of the modern barn door. - If you have wall room where it slides when it's open.
Although it's late, I'd have a pocket door installed now. The cost while workmen are still there will be less than the dissatisfaction you'll have for years to come.....
yes that was the original plan but wall got moved and now it has 8" on either side of a 38" opening. The opening is odd size and the wall space is not there either! I truly think I am stuck!
