You use one-way reflective window film.... comes in four colors, bronze, gold, silver or platinum.... https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=one-way+reflective+window+film you apply it with a bit of water and a squeegee.
The gloss won't make a difference, but the black would definitely block the sun. Just make sure to get paint that you can use on glass, I am sure the associates at your local home improvement store will be able to help you find what you need.
You can get shade cloth at some diy stores or order from an agricultural source. the ag store has a 90percent sun blocker rating. its a knitted material and makes a good sun blocking material. I’ve used it as curtians in my tiny camper....and on a few windows for the house.
Buy Blackout fabric or Blind...................
I would use blackout fabric. Cut out bigger than window, then edge with Velcro and then do the same around the window but use a sticky backed Velcro.
You need a shade with an energy shield, this blocks the heat an keeps the cold out. It's 2 way purpose is worth the price. A white shade should do it.
Traditionally, white will reflect the light, black blocks it. For our windows we put up dark thermal panels/drapes that are white on the outside.
