Are you asking to build shelves where medicine cabinet was? I assume recessed medicine cabinet. You can use beadboard or thin plywood or even drywall. They sell small sheets of all. I would add trim to face can even be 1 x 2 you can mitre corners or not or some fancier molding if you prefer. Add small strips of wood to the sides to support your shelves. You could also purchase shelf support brackets and drill holes for those into your side walls. If drywall cover nails and seams with drywall mud sand and finish. If plywood or beadboard use finishing nails and wood filler. Paint all to match your decor. Good luck!
