The ground water is washing the sand into your well in time of high water. You may have to consider adding a filter to your intake valve
either you have a private well or you have a a hole in one of your outside pipes. It’s one or the other. it is fixable so just track down the cause and go from there.
A deeper well would solve this issue... a water filter will make a temporary solution, but from the amount of sand the filters would get filled pretty quickly. adding a swirl filter and then a water cartridge filter would be the best solution at minimum cost for potable water.
I had sand in my water and it turned out the well pump needed to be replaced. Unfortunately that didn't get rid of the sand that settled in our plumbing which needed to be flushed out.

We had this issue at my mother in laws and in the spring my husband would raise the pump in the well about a foot and it stopped and then lowered it in the summer and winter .
