If you live in an appartment, shouldn't the land lord be contacted to get it fixed? That is one of the beautys of renting an apartment....They are responsible for the reirs....not you.

There are screws which connect to bolts under your tiolet seat, on both sides. They need to be tightened. Some tiolets have caps you can see when the tiolet seat is down. Open these caps and they can be tightened with a screwdriver, while holding the washer underneith. Make it snug but not very tight.

A toilet seat is attached to the base of the commode by two screws at the back of the seat where the lid of the seat is attached. They are covered on the top of the attachment with a cap. If you lift the cap up, you can see the head of the screw (mine is plastic - I just looked). Underneath the bowl, where the screw goes through the base, is a wing nut. Put a screwdriver in the groove on top of the screw so it will not move. With your other hand reach under the bowl and tighten the wing nut.

Is an inexpensive fix that will add to your comfort for a long time to come. Let alone avoid having to give warnings to your guests about the toilet seat. Hope this helps.

Sorry to hear that, but check your lease, I am sure that it is in there and that they may be in violation of it since it has not been fixed.

There are fasteners on the underside of the bowl near the tank that attach the seat to it, try taking a look and see if you can tighten them by hand. Wearing disposable gloves would be a good idea too!

Plastic, is what their making everything. The 2 caps need to be opened, and tightened with a screwdriver, don't make it too tight, they could break.
