Depends on your project and the amouth of rough treatment the object might get.........
true chalk paint is lovely. beware of paints that are actually "chalk-like" as they might not perform as expected.
If you are not experience with the usage that could be a reason that others have made the comment.Try experimenting on scrap wood first before e takin on a big project.What be be a failure to others may work out just fine for you
