I like to use bricks for under my pots. I have a cement yard so I have mostly pots and like my pots to be to be at different levels. It really makes it nice to when cleaning the patio too.
You could stack them like they do for retaining walls, and make a bed where you can add more topsoil/potting soil. They would make a nice raised flower bed or veggie bed. Just an idea

They could be used to create a boarder around trees or even down your driveway. You could paint them too.
