Hello. There is great help out there for folks who have a room with no closet. There are several brands like Closermaid and Kidskraft where you can select a kids activity organizer for 10 bucks or a portable closet that fits against the wall for as high as 200 bucks. Do a Google search online to get some ideas. Good luck!
I saw this the other day and thought it was brilliant! An old tv cabinet converted into a storage closet for hanging clothes!
I would buy a portable closet from Ikea - they are affordable, available in many sizes and colors, and mix with any other furniture you have.
Places like WalMart have portable closets that are pretty cheap that you could use temporarily. You could even decorate them if you decide it would work in her room. You didn't say how old she is, but you could build her a sturdy bunk bed and put the mattress on the top bunk and turn the rest into a desk area with plenty of storage shelves inside and make book shelves on the ends facing out for further storage. Make sure you let her pick the colors and theme that is "her" and she will probably be really happy with the room. Take her somewhere like WalMart, and let her choose the colors she wants for a couple of rugs, quilt, and other things and go from there.
You need to buy it build a wardrobe for her
Hi Raemi,
How about a platform bed with drawers built in for her clothes. She'll even make her bed so she can get to her drawers more easily, and that's a big bonus! LoL Or perhaps a bunk bed like the one below that you can convert into a closet for clothes and toys. Hope this helps!
Keep a check in thrift stores they often get in old wardrobes. As for toys - a book case can store games and soft toys / dolls. Baskets on shelves can holds mall toys. And of course BOOKS! But the bookcase can be used as she grows for her keepsakes etc. Again look in thrift shops. Saw one today in Salvation Army in my community for $20.00
Thanks!
