Any tool rental will have what you need.
The smaller the score, the easier the removal. That’s what I keep reading. Use an Exacto or carpet knife to cut through the wallpaper, but not the wall! Use a checkerboard or diamond pattern, approximately, to score all of the wallpaper. Then wet it, with a sponge, squirt bottle, or big broom. Some people add some Dawn to the water. Then let it soak in! After a few minutes of soaking, you are ready to start scraping. Best wishes ☺️
I used any cheap fabric softener and water (about half and half) in a pump spray jug (for pesticides). Spray it on the walls and saturate it pretty good. Let sit then scrap off with a scraper. It should just slide off.
We did our whole hundred yr old house this way, with five layers deep of wallpaper and newspaper. There was even wallpaper on the ceilings. It's cheap plus it smells good. If you want to save your carpet or floors put plastic down. Good luck!
Equal parts liquid fabric softener and water in a spray bottle! Spray on let set until saturated sho remove pretty easily! Good luck!
I second (and third) the fabric softener suggestions. It made it soooo easy!
