You could try replacing with some pressure treated wood. Check with the landlord and see if they'll foot the bill for materials. We always like to let our tenants try their hand at stuff like this and pay for the materials. It allows them to sort of make it their own place without the $$ investment. Good luck!
I would take the hinges off and clean them real good with steel wool and reuse them. For the pots you could make them out of tin but be sure to put protection over top of doors to revert water to keep from going in top. Put weather stripping around underneath side to give it more protection from weather.
Definitely pressure treated wood, then paint with a good outdoor paint.
So Thank you for the idea, the doors are wood covered with a white sheet metal unfortunately the wood underneath is completely rotted so I have to replace everything. The landlord won't pay for anything under 100.00 or reimburse us for it. Thank you very much for your kindness and reply for my question. Have a wonderful weekend.
