Use steel wool pads (Brillo, SOS, etc.). Gently scour the bottom of the pots in a circular motion. There are also other scouring pads in the store. Clean the bottom of the pot each time you wash it.

I second the Bar Keeper’s Friend recommendation You may have to use some elbow grease for some tough stains.
I also recommend washing the item with regular dish soap after you’ve rinsed off the Bar Keeper’s Friend. I’ve found powdery smears on some items after they dry if I skip this step.
I always use scouring powder and a scrub pad. Brillo is ok, but to keep the new shine forever, don’t use on new pans.

Dawn soap and baking soda

Baking soda and peroxide, enough to form a paste, apply it to the pan and let it set. You can also put plastic wrap over it to keep from drying out.
Bar Keeper’s Friend powder and a scrubby or TSP substitute powder and a scrubby should help.
