privacy film
adhesive contact paper. There are designs on the clear film that will obscure the view you don't want to see. I did it and it lasted for more that 7 years.
Frosted contact paper would be a good choice.
I lived in a condo that had huge windows in the living room. I wanted the light but also wanted some privacy. I found a recipe for "frosting" the window. I took my big metal mixing bowls and used a dry erase marker to trace circles on the windows (like bubbles) and then painted the "frosting" in the circles. I remember it was dish soap and Epsom salt...you can find the recipe on pinterest. washed off with warm soapy water when we were ready to move out.
Go with the contact paper. Easy to put on and easy to peel off.
They make different style window decals that are frosted or designed, just cut peel n stick!
You can also adhere lace panels( doileys, lace that you buy in the material section at most craft stores) They can be modge podged on, modge podge dries clear and then go over it again to hold. If you aren't sure you will like it , try a small corner to see how it looks. I also have painted a decorative design on my small bathroom window with multi-purpose acrylic paint and stencils. You don' t need to cover the entire window, just a small design here and there. You could use colors t hat blend with the rest of the room . Hope this helps
You can get privacy screen for a very low price. They even make some that looks like stained glass.

I painted mine with tempura paint. If I get sick of it, it will wash right off. You can Also use frosted contact paper to ‘frost’. I have done that on basement windows. You can also use stencils and etching solution to etch which is a more permanent solution.
If you don't like film or Contact, use a curtain or apply wallpaper or even Polystyrene
from a roll. or Aluminium foil.
