Blue water stain on bathtub
How do I remove a blue water stain from my bath.......?
porcelain or fiberglass
To get them clean (and if they are fiberglass) use Easy Off Oven cleaner in the blue can. Spray it on, turn your exhaust fan on, leave the room and shut the door behind you. In about an hour go back and scrub and rinse.
Try Easy Off No Fume Oven Cleaner in the Blue can. Works on enamel, porcelain, and fiberglass. If this doesn't work then the glaze coat is compromised and it would need to be refinished.
I spray Hydrogen peroxide on my tiles works, wonders, my friend uses Rubbing Alcohol you might try these easy, very inexpensive methods.
Forgot to mention these also work well on the tub/shower.
I have had luck with Liquid Comet, a good coat and let set, use a magic eraser or sponge in up/down/circle motion, rinse with cold water. Nothing harsh on porcelain as it eats the porcelain away over time, turns to chalk and flakes away. Dark streaky stains that look like rust is the iron leaching through, this usually happens to older sinks and tubs, only Epoxy paint will cover that.
Fill tub with warm water, to level of stain, and add 5-6 Denture tablets. Let soak for an hour. Rinse with water.
If it's not plastic, try fingernail polish remover and a sponge. Works great for the ceramic tubs.
Use liquid shout. Let stand overnight and then clean off with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
Have you tried scrubbing with a paste of vinegar and baking soda? After applying, let it soak in at least 30 minutes before rinsing. Have you tried using the stopper and filling the sinks, tubs, and toilets with 1 cup of bleach to almost 1 gallon of water? Let it soak overnight, then rinse. Only do one of these at a time so your house doesn’t fill with fumes. ☺️
Tried these no results, still the same. Thank you for your post.
