    Are you planning to cover an old dresser?

    Measure first, and haunt yard sales for old mirrors.

    Read up thoroughly on cutting mirrors. It’s easy, but an art form nonetheless.

    Also do homework first re gluing mirrors, prepping your surface, and most recommended glue.

    Keep bandaids handy just in case. These are glass.

    Hang a mirror on the wall above the dresser. Or glue and screw boards to the back of a framed mirror that are long enough that you can screw it to the back of the dresser (provided there is a thick enough area on the back of the dresser to take the screw. But before you do any of the above make certain that you have enough depth of existing wood to screw to the mirror and then screw to the dresser.

  • Might be more cost effective to buy a big thrift store mirror and cut it yourself

    Cheaply = thrift store. Seriously.

    Making a dresser from scratch takes a lot of skill, thousands of dollars in tools, and hundreds of dollars in wood. As for "mirrored dresser" I assume that you mean a mirror, maybe on swivels, attached at the top, not an entire dresser made of mirrors. If you would like suggestions on how to frame a mirror or how to attach a mirror to a dresser, please ask.

    We got a beautiful mirror about 3 feet by 5 feet with a wooden frame for $2.50 (half price sale) at our local Salvation Army. Just hung that over a dresser that had the same type of wood in it. Looks like there were made to go together.
