cover them with privacy film
Grasscloth wallpaper if it suits your decor.
Or spray with the “snow” they use to decorate windows and glassware at Christmas.
You could do some stenciling on the mirrors.
Cover in a cornstarch slurry then cover with a giant piece of lace. I've seen temp wallpaper and window treatments done like this. If it would stick to a window it would probably stick to the mirror just fine
You could apply frosted contact in stripes, it would still be mirrored, but with a different vibe.
You will have to do some research on what would work best for your mirrors. You can stencil with paint or you can etch. No, you would not paint your mirrors first. Because I do not know how badly the mirrors are scratched I was thinking you could hide the imperfections with some stenciling--only parts of the mirror would be covered with the stencil/etching pattern. If the mirrors are really bad I would cover with some privacy film as suggested above--quicker, easier, and the film comes in many patterns. It would be like wallpapering!
