Why not add a shelf on top and install in kitchen doorway? Instant bar, passthrough, extra dining area!

Make a coat rack out of it. Put a piece of thin trim in between the side boards to help dress up the cut edge, turn bottom side up and place a board on top for a shelf and then put old door knobs on the sides or on top of the new trim. Example added below.

You might laugh....but I'd use this in my chicken house! (I'm scrounging all kinds of wood for that project right now.)

@White Oak Studio Designs Yep, I did laugh, but since I live on a farm, I can see that it would be very useful there. :-)

Great as a dog gate. I actually used old fencing and wroght iron hardware for mine. Kept Big in kitchen while I was at work. (He would go up stairs and open all the doors, including attic{not good when air is on} :)

If you have a patio, build a box behind it and put top on it and shelves inside the box. The put a pull handle on the door and use it as an outside bar/storage, etc.Paint it a bright color to keep it from getting damaged.

Do you have old photos of the family? I used an old card table frame and put a new thin wood top on it, then cut old photos down and glued them to the wood.. then you can use clear polyurethane and coat over them until they are sealed in and waterproof .. its a great conversation piece . some 30 yrs later it still looks good and my kids are showing their friends, kids, spouses etc what "they" looked like when they were little! (I have to admit though it was a copied idea, an elderly lady had one similar to it when I was dating my (now) ex wife and I was so impressed with it I knew Id do it some day)

This would make a beautiful spice rack. Adding some 1x4 shelves and framing it with some decorative wood. It would be a beautiful addition to your kitchen. Oh, now I want one of these.

Finish the cut end to match the finished end. Varnish or paint it find a small whiskey barrel or something for a bottom and make it a table. I use its as a patio table.

use the trimmed end as the top screw a piece of wood flat to the bottom then add a shelf by screwing into that piece.. you could put a mirror inside or a poster, or a picture sized to fit or 4 small pics or if you have a collection add it shoot postcards let your imagination run wild and have fun xx

Add trim to raw edge of door to make it the same as the bottom and then hang it on the wall. You could use it to add seasonal interest by adding ornamentation to suit each season or occation!
