Glass Tile Framed Bathroom Wall Mirror- specials steps or adhesives?

I am pretty fortunate that I rent from someone who gives me the freedom to DIY my townhouse.

The wall mirror in the bathroom has chips and discoloration spots along the edges. I would like to use glass backsplash tiles to frame it. The tiles, due to space, must be on the mirror itself. Are there specials steps or adhesives that I need to use to adhere the tiles to the glass?
