For watering? Why would you use a sprayer to water, it would take a long time to water them sufficiently. Hostas don't need constant watering. They are very drought tolerant. I only water mine if we don't get rain and it is really hot for over a week or two. It would be easier to just use a hose on low and let it run for a while or use a soaker hose.

If your hose doesn't reach your hostas anything you do to get them water will be appreciated.
