Diatomaceous earth for farm and garden. Home Depot carries it, in a bag.
Sprinkle around anywhere it won't hurt you or pets. But it will nail those fleas! You can use it in your garden for pests as well. It's like powder to us but shards of glass to bugs. Pay attention not pool diatomaceous earth! And as always read the label. I been using this for years, safe. Good luck!!
Put a shallow pan of water (I used a cake pan) and Dawn soap on the floor in a low traffic area of the room. Use a bright, clamp-on lamp approx. 12" above it. The fleas are attracted to the light and heat. They'll jump into the water and drown. Works best overnight when rest of room is dark. I was amazed at the number of dead fleas floating on the water.
thank you!
Make sure the DE is food grade. The one for pools is not. It really works. I also sprinkle on the dogs and cat fur and rub it until it reaches the skin. Sprinkle also on the pets bedding.
Hi Linda, those things are such a bother. The only way we could rid of them was to rent a steam cleaner and then deep clean the carpets, furniture, and our fur baby beds. We then sprayed a special flea killer spray that kills the adults and the larvae. Wear gloves and keep your pets away while spraying.
