Make a Floor Out of REAL Pennies
joann's is probably not the place to ask.... your local home improvement store would be a better source of materials and information.... install a penny the way you would mosaic tile..... Pinterest.com should have ideas and instructions for you
Not a surprise, it is a minimum wage job and mine is staffed by high school and college kids and a few mom's as a side hustle, most of which do not know the difference between a spool of thread or embroidery floss. Not their fault, everyone can learn. Joann's just hires anyone that walks in off the street. Here are a bunch sites for you to study.

Home depot you need a acrylic glue I made a small shelf in my bathroom with glass beads and hot glued them down first then grouted around after they were dry game great
You would need to put down luan then place pennies down( glue down with liquid nail, gorilla glue, or epoxy) then pour resin to coat pennies and give a shiny clear surface. You would have to love it or destroy the bathroom! Remember to Take toilet up beforehand! Good luck.
Lowe’, Home Depot will have supplies.
