Concrete stain is better, it doesnt peel away. There are sooo many different options for stain. You just have to look around to see what colors you like
i have seen houses that they put a little bit of paint on the brush then just did small swipes with the brush on the concrete and it was beautiful! Just make sure that you use colors like tan and a light green, etc so it doesn’t stand out. Also make sure that your paint brush strokes are the same length. Best of luck whichever way you go!
Surecrete makes a water soluble stain called Eco Stain. You have to clean the concrete first, but the stain is easy to apply, non-toxic, and won't fade once it is sealed. https://www.surecretedesign.com/product/water-based-concrete-stain/ It can be applied with a pump up sprayer, and colors can be applied one over another. The stain is diluted with water in a 1 to 1 ration for normal application, but can be diluted up to 7 parts water to 1 part stain for very transparent coverage.
