How can I fix a wobbly antique end table?
I have a beautiful antique end table that is very wobbly. What is the easiest way to fix it?
Use a level to level your table. Put it in the center of the table, and move it around, When the bubble is in the center of the level, then it's level. When you move the level around you'll find which leg needs something to level it off. You can find little round brown stick-ons that you can stick on the leg that needs it. If you need more than one, add another until the bubble is in the center of the level
I agree with above . I had to use them on a kitchen chair .I got them at Wal-Mart .they work great .
You will have to turn the table upside down and check to be sure all the nuts are tightened down. If your floor is uneven you will need to put a rubber foot under the leg that is the shortest. I solved that problem myself when we moved in our new place a year ago. The last owners left a very nice wood table with 2 chairs which fit our kitchen perfectly. I kept moving it around until I liked the arrangement. The secret is to use "sliders" that your can buy from your local hardware store, very reasonable prices and many sizes to choose from. We use them on most of our heavy furniture. Rick Allen
