Reply to Sal85902...from deck..from privacy screens..as the bird poo is dirty etc( looks plus germs)..extra work . Do owl decoys work? Or something else that looks decorative? Our backyard neighbour has a large tree plus bird feeders hence the extra mess!
Try hanging old CD's on strings. Between the movement in the breeze and being reflective, that should help. I used them around my vegetable garden. Birds are smart - they'll get used to anything stationary like an owl. Sometimes rubber snakes on the ground - that you move around daily can help.
