Try using E6000 glue.
Try Lexel silicone. Expensive, but it works. We tried Liquid Nails on a shutter and it did not work, but the Lexel worked.
Yes it will. A lot of Hometalkers have used for all types of projects. Glass to concrete, glass beads to bowling balls, etc. I even have used it to seal hems in pillows I've made. Very versatile glue.
Maybe there's a coating on yours. Wipe it with acetone and try it again
