Things he's already peed on will have the scent, put anything with a harsh smell (bleach, chili pepper, Cayan pepper, tobasco) in a spray bottle and water it down, and spray it everywhere your dog pees. It will take away his smell from before and will give off a nasty smell and he won't want to pee there anymore
I always crated my dogs when I was gone and never had the problem. Have you taken him to the vet? I have also seen diapers for male dogs, have heard that they work well for older dogs
has your dog been neutered? Many non neutered male dogs will mark thier territory. If he’s been neutered and still peeing in the house...he may have a urinary track infection. Take your pooch out side to pee at regular intervals. If you have to leave him/ her in the house for any length of time, there are “pee” pads at pet stores. Larger squares with absorbing padding. Each time they use the pee pad, give them a treat. They will get the idea.
Best place to purchase pee pads is Costco if that is an option for you. I use with my small dog for two years. Now she wont go outside. Prior dogs I have crate trained and they never went in house. Highly recommend that method along with neutering. If this is an older dog over one year may need intensive training to correct. Throughly neutralizing all prior pee spots is a must. He will continue to remark prior spots. Good luck
