I’d consider keeping the “oval” that the trees are in open, for annuals or a sweet smelling and pretty herb garden. Leave a bit more room than you now have for the tree trunks. Crepe myrtle can get fairly large.

Your contractor will grade the yard when removing the grass.

If you plan to do this yourself, do lots of research here (go to our search box with Flagstone Patio), as well as Pinterest and Google. Lots of great info and video out there

I think a flagstone patio would be beautiful and add so much to the look of your house, which is beautiful by the way. You might consider incorporating seating walls in stone of some kind around your trees but leaving space for low growing plants of some kind at the base of the trees for color.

A thought! Take garden hose lay out your design on the grass....live with a few days see how it works for u......I see flower around the trees......maybe a small water fountain centered between the trees or out a bit further esp if these trees will grow larger. Small wrought iron bristo set with some concrete benches. If u are in mosquito land u might want to go over board on seating area as u have beautiful view and seating on your porch (love the hous style with porch) we tried twice to grow the crepe myrtles here in Washington got no State.....we are away during the winter so they didn't survive our cold.....they are such beautiful trees.

Do you intend to use the patio as seating/entertaining space? And if so how will the golf club affect yours, and your guests comfort while sitting there? If you do not plan to use it as such, what is the point in building it?

The point of building it is to enjoy the openness & be able to grill & entertain outdoors. Thinking of adding a fire pit & adirondack chairs. These golfers are pretty good, so not worried about them,

I love the idea, it will really extend your living space and I think you could easily incorporate the trees. Yes to the fire pit, there are so many great options on the market. Are you looking for gas or fire? Check out Eldorado Stone, they have options for both that could work for either.
