When tiling a wall in a bathroom, how do you get a finished edge look?
We just moved into a new home that we built, after losing our home of 20 years to a fire. We are in the same property and were taking the finishing one day at a time.... See more
If you are looking to repurpose it maybe you could use the chucks of tile as a garden or lawn boarder. You could put the scrap pieces on Craigslist for free and maybe someone will want it to make mosaics. Maybe call your trash company and ask if you can put it in your regular trash.
Welcom to the world of construction! Check with your trash collector, and see what they offer. Many Home Depot's carry "dumpster bags" - see if your HD offers them. Otherwise you will need to Google or flip through the yellow pages for construction waste collectors.
We did a bathroom gut/remodel a few years ago, busted up the white floor and wall tiles ( attached sheetrock) and put it in the trash can. Sturdy dust pan and trash cans needed to move the cast off tiles out to your main trash receptacle. At this point we had wheeled garbage totes and unlimited pick up -that fit inside the trash cans.
Sometimes a trip to the municipal dump is necessary (as our trash pickup is one rolling toter receptacle now. ) Pallets are disposed of this way.
An amazing amount of debris is created with such a renovation.
Break it up with a hammer and crowbar.
You throw it out, take to the dump, or rent a dumpster.
