Wondering if the chalkboard adhesive paper is a recommended product verses the chalkboard paint. Looking for ideas for outdoors in the shade fun time creative play. Looking to do a giant board for toddlers!

  • I have only used the paint and it works great, not heard of the paper. But good luck

I've used both with my granddaughter, and it depends. If you want something easily portable, I had the adhesive paper on a vinyl tablecloth that I would spread out for her on the picnic table and she could draw to her heart's content. I've painted things with the chalkboard paint onto smaller items, and even a wall in her playroom and I found the adhesive paper better when she was outside (more flexible). We also found that chalk works well on concrete, especially if you wet the tip of the chalk, so we've had epic murals on her patio and mine. Have fun!

I would also add, that chalkboard vinyl doesn't look the same as chalkboard paint. If you want a more matte chalkboard look, the paint will give that. Chalkboard vinyl has a little sheen to it in my opinion. But it is soooooo easy!
