Candle wax spilled over on a quilt I use for a table cover. It has soaked completely through the quilt. Some also spilled onto the carpet. How can I remove it.
Put it in a deep freeze. The candle wax will harden, and should crack off when the throw is taken out.
Put in Freezer - when frozen scrape it off.
Hi Dail. I use a iron and towel to remove candle wax. You put the towel over the wax and then use a hot iron on the towel to melt the wax.The towel absorbs the melted wax. Just make sure that you aren't holding it in one spot for too long so it doesn't ruin the material.
Candle wax is soluble in ether, benzine and kerosene/paraffin.
