You're not anal, you take pride in what you do which is awesome. Have you tried going to a florist in your area and chatting to them. They're normally super helpful and would probably share where they get there preserved greenery from

I would rather use plastic greenery, with seasonal fresh flowers and greenery inserted. Be selective, but plastic can be set into styrofoam, attached to real branches, and set outside your front door and patio, as well as inside your home. ☺️
