If you're looking for free materials, you could join Freecyle which is an international recyling program.... all items are free, you just post a Wanted: post of what you need, and if anyone has it they will send you an email. You join to the closest city to you, cause you will need to pick up the items.

I've gotten many things for my disabled clients.... furniture, household appliances, cookware, computers, flooring etc.

And if you want to get rid of something, you can post an OFFER:

Well you're on the Internet and that is how most on Freecycle communicate. And if your Internet isn't working, I've used the library's connection for clients.

Paint both the trailer and the trim. Landscape around the perimeter. Doesn't have to be expensive but clean it up. A nice gravel bed with a evergreen shrub every 10 feet or so. Bring in some pops of color with potted plants. You could place the potted plants in between the shurbs. The pots don't have to be expensive. You can find them at second hand stores just spray paint after cleaning them up.

I think painting your trim and spreading out some mulch would brighten things up. Take a look in the paint department of your local store to see if they have a "Oops" section. That's where you will find inexpensive paint from other customer's who didn't like the color. Most home improvement stores have them. For a lot cheaper. As far as mulch, get a delivery of a truck load, rather than buying it in bags. Again, less expensive. I hope you find my thoughts helpful. Best of luck.

I certainly understand your plight...and never think you are begging. We are approaching 80 and I pray every day that we can keep our place from looking so bad...we are past the age of yard work.

There is a new (at least new to me) trend of neighborhood on line newspapers...ours is called "Nextdoor" which has all kinds of free stuff.

We have gotten things and given things on this link. I even put on 3 free pair of worn, but in good shape Levis. A guy messaged me immediately and came by within the hour to pick them up off my porch.

Honestly, it looks like things are in great shape by the picture you took. The only advice I have is to put maybe the Shepard hook I see in front of air conditioner, and place yard art or plants at varying heights in flower bed.

Honestly, a coat of paint on trim would be a good start. Clean out the garden area next and put rock in it with potted plants. Then next, and very important to the first impression of your home, keep the blinds all drawn to the same height. They need to be symetrical. Or do away with completely.

Check out your local habitat for humanity to find some shutters for your windows inside. It allows air in but keeps the privacy. If possible move the AC unit to a side window that isn't seen from the street. Then give the deck a sweeping and add a bench seat or 2 outdoor chairs with a small table between. Move the plants around to balance everything out. Looks great!

on the inside, take down the broken shades. You can buy temporary shades at Home Depot cheap. Mine stayed up for a very very long time. A clip comes with each one to raise the blind and clip it open. They are paper but look very nice.

Also keep your shades at the same level which gives a very clean look from inside and out.
