Why do my palmetto trees have no berries ?

    Trees need to become mature prior to producing fruit or nuts. You should expect (assuming you live in the right growing zone for the sabal palm) to wait anywhere from 3-10 years for it to be old enough to produce berries.


    I actually have 2 of them in my yard that are quite a number of years old. Neither produces berries.
