What is the best method for killing grass around trees?
Hi, I would like to know how to kill the grass around the base of a tree without harming the tree itself. Any information is greatly appreciated, thank you.
Here is some information on them. A popular shrub / small tree in my area due to the fact it is extremely drought tolerant. While I do not have any, neighbors do and they seem to be pretty disease resistant too. Gets very hot here in summer which is probably why, even bugs do not want to live here!

I have several in my yard. I live in Tucson, Arizona and it gets HOT here. Because we don't get a lot of rain they grow fairly slowly but if I water them every few days they grow a bit faster. I have one that I'm training into a really pretty sprawling bush (for privacy) and two others that I'm letting grow naturally. They have seed pods that drop in the Spring but they're fairly easy to rake up. I like mine a lot.
Thanks for the info.xo
