I like using cornstarch and water. I make a watery paste in a small bowl, and apply lighty as if washing, in a circular motion with a damp cloth. I then let dry, and buff with a lint-free cloth. There are no streaks and the windows sparkle.
Vinegar and newspaper is what I have always used.
I use blue dawn ( 3 drops ) and ( 2 capfuls ) of jet dry in 1 gallon of warm water. I use a non lint cloth to wash and another to dry. No streaking at all. You can also use a squeege if you prefer.
I wash with ammonia water and rinse with vinegar water. This worked well for my grandmother, my mother (now 98) and for me.The windows always sparkle!
Use 91% rubbing alcohol mixed with water in a spray bottle. Apply with newspaper on a cloudy day.

First, take an equal amount of vinegar and water and mix them together in a spray bottle. White distilled vinegar will work best for this. Then, spray the solution on your windows and let it sit for around two to three minutes. Lastly, use a gentle cloth to wipe away the cleaning solution and avoid any streaks.
