What kind of mites? do you have pets? what kind?
In general, I've cleaned clients homes with tons of dust mites due to not cleaning regularly due to ill health. I wash all soft surfaces like curtains, sofa cushion covers, pillows, bedding, bed pillows in the washer and use 1/2c 20 Mule Team Laundry Borax to kills them with the laundry soap. Wash down every surface - I use a car sponge and micro cloths. Carpets - sprinkle the borax on the carpet, upholstry, bed in a jar with lots of holes poked in lid. Leave for 3 hours, won't hurt pets or you, then vacuum throughly. Blinds, I take outside and hang over the garage door or patio on nails and hose them off and then use a car brush to clean, rinse again. Let dry.
I also use air filters to clean the air. When I dust items I use the static cleaning dry clothes. If you have lots of nicknacks, I just put them in the sink and wash them. Mop all floors, vacuum using a hepa filter vacuum, and buy bags if you have an old vacuum that says them are dust and dust mite proof. Empty hard vacuum containers outside. If the walls are dusty, I also vacuum them.

P.S. when I'm working in an infested home, I use a natural insecticide, Greenerways I buy on Amazon.com its mainly lemongrass, rosemary oils and controls them well. https://www.amazon.com/GREENERWAYS-ORGANIC-Repellent-Mosquito-Repellent-Repellant/dp/B071KMP8LJ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1529197711&sr=8-4&keywords=greenerways+insect+repellant
If they are that bad, call an exterminator/pest control.
Luquid 7 if you can leave overnight & then let air out a few days.before trying to sleep there
Only if really bad. & spraying all mattress & carpet. With. Pyrethrin. For scabbies etc. Wash or replace all pillows. Lysol spray everything it's how you kill headlice on bedding & sofas
Have these little creatures been identified. That will help in exterminating them. Someone will have an answer. Wish you the best of luck.
