Typically sold by the roll, which is far more than you will need. Visit a well stocked landscape supply for other options. You could just purchase a chain link gate and use that?
If you go to the hardware store they usually have rolls of various sized chain. Buy a good sturdy chain the length you need.
One point about using chain... it will swag and is hard to pull very tight... you would be better off using black iron water pipe and fasten it to the wood posts with conduit clamps or to use a closet rod bracket... I use the old wire type of shower curtain rings to hand stuff with... a good thing to keep around in your home junk drawer.
Try Home Depot or Lowe's, or a local hardware store. They often sell it by the foot.
