large storage totes
You can also use campers Stuff bags. I prefer these because they don’t take up nearly as much room. I’ve never had any luck with the clear vinyl “vacuum” bags, which many love.
Space bags
Put them in HEAVY DUTY trash bags. Vacuum out the air and quickly stuff them into the space available or a plastic container. Be creative with containers - even a new clean trash can hold a lot of things that need to be stored.
For long term storage I like to use the vacuum bags... clean the comforter and make sure it is very dry, put in the vacuum bag and remove the air... store in a tote.
For short term storage... fold so the comforters width matches the length of a pillow case.... tightly roll the comforter and put it into the pillow case.
If you have a large tote with a locking lid, you can get a lot in. I have also hidden them in plain sight on a guest bed. If you can squeeze them into a pillow case, they can hide In the linen closet. I’ve considered hiding them between the mattress and box spring, but I think it would take a few people to lower the mattress straight down to avoid bunching them up.
