fishing line
Fishing line... comes in different strengths.
I have used dental floss! It seems to work for a few years before I have to restring again.
I would think good fishing line would work. Get yourself a package of upholstery needles at Joanne, or wherever(a couple of $).
They will make it a lot easier to hold and feed the line through the holes - fishing line can be slippery.
An alternative is stainless steel or copper wire, usually available in craft stores and some hardware stores. Definitely on line.
fishing gut line
I have used both dental floss and fishing line to restring a few of mine. Canadian winters takes a toll on them and it really does help make them last longer. ( fishing line is the tougher choice ).
