There are many companies that make and sell products to restore the appearance of hardwood floors without refinishing. Scott's Liquid Gold Floor Restore is one that is well reviewed. Look wherever you buy cleaning supplies.
Professional sand job. Worth it unless you are very strong and can handle the machine yourself! Nearly every amateur let’s the sander down to the wood incorrectly and permanently mars the true, antique wood floors. Shop around and you will find a skilled person to do it. Remove tacks, nails sticking up, and other weird, sharp things we find stuck into our wood and get them gone. Gently pull quarter round free if you can and mark so you know where it goes when floor is all pretty, refreshed and showing their wonderful marks from age. I learned about the sharp objects because they rip the sanding pads that are not cheap and it’s more work on the person muscleing that big ‘ole sander around! They can only take off so much. Genuine, original wood floors to the home are thicker than the pieces they sell today, but less is best just in case you need a light resend in 10-20 years! 🌷
