What's the best flower/plant to grow in Texas?
I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
It looks like a balloon flower. Was the flower a tight ball before it opened up. see below for unopened bud and also opened flower.
If it is indeed a Balloon Flower I have one in a pot on my balcony. It's very hot where I live so the flowers only survive a few days before dying, but there are a few new blooms every day as well.
Try downloading the "PlantSnap" app on your phone & take a photo of it. I've found this app very useful in identifying unknown plants. Good luck & happy gardening!! 😎🌿🌾🍀⚘🌺
Not a baloon flower.
Wild violet
Could be a browallia. It grows everywhere in my garden and I didn't plant them. Nurseries sell them. It's considered a wildflower.
It’s either wild rue or wild petunia. Check both of those in google. I have them too and I try to keep them pulled as they spread like crazy. Unfortunately, the root is hard to get up!
1000% Carolina Wild Petunia check link below,
